We Bring the Classroom Outdoors!
Camp-Wide Activities
At Camp GEORGE, learning and growing doesn’t stop at scientific investigations or outdoor exploration. It extends into the heart of our Outdoor School community. From eating family-style meals and singing songs in the dining hall, to shouting cabin cheers and creating unique name tags. From line dancing with classmates and the friendly competition of field day, to participating in group presentations and the warmth of campfire traditions, these shared experiences create lasting friendships and lifelong memories.
While our academic curriculum is essential, we believe that the social-emotional development, personal and interpersonal growth, and sense of belonging fostered through these activities are just as- if not more- important.
Whether it’s a student taking on a new challenge and pushing past their fears, a High School Mentor growing in their leadership skills and self-confidence, or a teacher witnessing the transformation of their students, these moments become the heart of the Camp GEORGE experience, leaving a lasting impact that extends far beyond their week at Outdoor School.
