Who We Serve

Camp GEORGE provides overnight Outdoor School experiences for 5th and 6th grade students in Western Washington, offering exciting and immersive environmental education in a residential camp setting.

Students will spend up to five days on-site, exploring the outdoors and learning alongside their classmates, teacher(s), and our volunteer High School Mentors.

Our Classic 5-Day Program

Our classic 5-Day overnight program will run Monday through Friday, offering a full week of outdoor-based learning, exploration, activities, social-emotional learning and development, and community building.
*Our 5-Day program is strongly recommended for 6th-grade students.
Shorter Stay, Same Impact: Our 4-Day Program

We will also offer a 4-Day overnight program, typically running Monday through Thursday, for schools seeking a slightly shorter but equally transformative experience. Our 4-Day program is packed full of hands-on learning, recreational activities, social-emotional learning and development, and camp-wide enthusiasm.
*Our 4-Day program may run Tuesday - Friday depending on scheduling and availability.

Our Outdoor School model aligns with our robust social-emotional learning and youth development philosophies. During our weekly sessions, we host multiple schools, strongly encouraging those from the same district to attend together.

This provides students a unique opportunity to foster new relationships with peers, especially those they'll join at the same Middle School the following year.

At Camp GEORGE, students from different schools come together to live in cabin groups, share family-style meals, and experience the outdoors as a camp community. Living and learning together fosters personal and interpersonal growth as they navigate teamwork, communication, and independence in an inclusive environment.

Camp GEORGE will proudly partner with public, private, independent, tribal, and charter schools to provide one-of-a-kind educational experiences for your students and teachers.

We are committed to making Outdoor School accessible to all children, including those experiencing housing instability. If your organization serves families in transitional housing or shelters, we’d love to explore ways to bring your students outdoors.
